Oops.
But on the upside, he was very interested in my being tired. Then, when the time came for prodding me like meat, I was so cold without my top that he couldn't examine me, because my shoulders were so tensed. So... then came the questions about that. The gist of the conversation being:
Onco: So, you're tired?
Me: All the time. Like... constantly.
Onco: And cold.
Me: Yeah, all the time.
Onco: Has anyone checked your thyroid?
Me: Yep. Normal.
Onco: Do you exercise?
Me: Not that much. When I go for a walk or whatever, it knocks me out.
Onco: How often do you take a nap?
Me: Twice a day, three times if I got up early.
Onco: And you're always cold.
Me: Yes.
My Brain: I hope this has nothing to do with cancer, but at least someone's interested.
Onco: When are you next seeing Dr. (Psychiatrist)?
Me: In about a month.
Onco: I'll write to her about this.
Me: Oh...
Onco: I'm not an expert. I'll write to her. She might want to bring you in earlier, if this is the case.
Me: Um... thanks.
He was already my favourite of the Kayt-Medical-Team but HUZZAH for this development! It seems like good news to me. I keep telling my doctors that I'm so so so so so tired, and that I collapse and so forth. Their solution is generally, "sleep when you're tired". Gee... thanks.
I must be asleep or half asleep at least fourteen hours a day. This is not conducive to productivity. And my body seems tireder than me brain. Mostly, my brain seems ready to go, but that body! The lamp is at the foot of my bed, and last night I turned around to turn it off before sleeping. Didn't have the energy to turn around again, so ended up lying there with my head at the foot of the bed, and I couldn't move. Of course, my brain was still plenty awake, so all I could do was write myself some Questers dialogue in my head.
Really, the body is very badly designed. There's so many things that can go wrong with it.
Wonder why he was interested in my being cold, though? I assumed it's because I'm really skinny. Those wacky doctors! Be nice if it there was a cause, though. I wouldn't mind not being cold.
Edit: Also... hehe...
